Protecting Our Oceans and Coastlines
At AquaCulture, sustainability isn’t an afterthought, it’s the reason we exist. From the moment our seaweed washes ashore to the day it nourishes your plants, every step is designed to protect ecosystems, restore soil health, and create a regenerative future.
Our seaweed is collected responsibly, using only naturally cast seaweed that would otherwise be left to decompose or sent to landfill. This helps maintain a healthy balance in coastal ecosystems while preventing methane emissions.
During every collection, we also clean our beaches, removing plastic waste and debris before it can harm marine life. In 2024 alone, our team and volunteers removed hundreds of kilos of litter, supporting cleaner coastlines for wildlife and communities.

Supporting Biodiversity and Soil Health
Synthetic fertilisers and pesticides have contributed to a decline in soil fertility and biodiversity worldwide. According to recent studies, over 30% of soils are now moderately or highly degraded, threatening food security and natural habitats.
Our seaweed fertiliser does the opposite. Rich in organic matter, minerals, and natural growth hormones, it helps:
- Feed beneficial soil microbes
- Improve soil structure and water retention
- Boost plant resilience without synthetic chemicals
By working with nature, not against it, we’re helping to restore healthier soils.

A Circular, Waste-Free Approach
AquaCulture exists to prove that waste can become a powerful resource. We operate a fully circular production model, transforming seaweed that would otherwise be discarded into regenerative plant food.
Unlike many conventional brands, we never use single-use plastics. Our packaging is recyclable, reusable, and designed to support a refill lifestyle, keeping waste out of landfills and oceans.

Naturally Carbon Neutral
Seaweed is one of nature’s most effective carbon sinks, capturing CO₂ as it grows. From collection to production, our process is proudly carbon negative, locking away more carbon than it emits.
Every purchase also contributes to reforestation projects through Ecologi, helping to plant trees and restore critical habitats worldwide. Together, we’re growing healthier plants while tackling the climate crisis head-on.

Our Commitment to Sustainability.
We’re setting ambitious goals across our entire business and supply chain to ensure our products aren’t just among the most sustainable in the world, but also supported by partners who share the same high standards. We know that true sustainability means continually evolving, improving our processes, materials, and impact year after year. From reducing our carbon footprint to eliminating single-use plastics, we’re committed to meeting the toughest targets to help combat global warming and protect the ecosystems we depend on.
